A Generic drug is defined as drug having the same components or the same dosage as the branded drug in terms of quality, performance characteristic; the pharmological effects of the generic drug are exactly same as of the original brand. These drugs are usually cheaper than the branded drugs as it is sold without advertising or marketing.
